Mt. Tsukuba
Located in the northeastern part of the Kanto Plain, the mountain is divided into two peaks: Mt. Nantai and Mt. Nyotai. It can be climbed by cable car or ropeway, and from the top you can see a panoramic view of the Kanto Plain.
Mitsuishi Forest Park
This park, located halfway up Mt. Sengen in the Mt. Tsukuba system, is a place where you can experience the rich nature of Satoyama. There are also promenades and playground equipment, making it a place for families to relax and enjoy.
Tsukuba Space Center
It was established in 1972 as a base for space development projects, and various research and development activities necessary for space development are conducted there. You can also see the actual H-II rocket and a full-scale model of an artificial satellite.
