Tonami Tulip Park
A park themed around tulips, a specialty of Tonami City and the city's flower. At the Tonami Tulip Fair held around Golden Week, 500 varieties and 1 million tulips are in full bloom. You can also enjoy kanna in midsummer.
Takaoka Great Buddha
A large copper Buddha with a height of about 16 meters and a weight of about 65 tons.
It was built in 1221 (Jokyu 3), and was destroyed by fire in 1745 (Enkyo 2) as a wooden golden Buddha. It was completed in 1933 as a bronze Buddha.
Zuiryuji Temple
The family temple of Toshinaga Maeda, the second lord of the Kaga domain. In 1997, the main gate, Buddhist hall, and main hall were designated as national treasures, the first in Toyama Prefecture. The main gate, Zendo, Daikuri, corridor, and large tea room are designated as important cultural properties of the country.
