Crane Observation Center

It is only open during the winter when cranes migrate, and is crowded with tourists every year. Over 10,000 cranes spend the winter here, and you can watch their graceful dances and pecking for food from the observation deck and rooftop observatory.

Hakozaki Hachiman Shrine

“If you accomplish it, it will come true.” The great bell of great wish fulfillment. With a height of 4m, a diameter of 3.4m, and a weight of 5 tons, you can see the largest bell in Japan, which is unique to Tsurunosato Izumi and depicts the dancing of a parent and child crane.

Izumizuroku Samurai Residences

It has been selected as a nationally important preservation district for groups of traditional buildings, and in 2019, it was also certified as a Japanese heritage site. You can stroll through Japan's largest group of samurai residences, where the town's appearance from 400 years ago remains.
