Miyazuma Gorge

The valley of the Uchikawa River that cuts between Mt. Kamagatake and Mt. Nyudogatake is a famous spot for autumn leaves, called “Momiji Valley.” It is said that successive feudal lords during the Edo period worked hard to protect the nature, and today there are campgrounds and bungalows.

Sekijuku

Sekijuku, the 47th post town on the Tokaido route, retains the townscape of the Edo period. The sight of about 200 townhouses from the Edo to Meiji periods is a sight to behold, and has been designated as a nationally important preservation district for groups of traditional buildings.
